Have you heard about our exciting new Buddy Project?
Our 'Buddy' Volunteers are here for those who may be struggling on their own with daily activities due to social isolation, anxiety, depression, loneliness or long term health conditions.
We work alongside Buddy Service Users to help them once again engage with community activities by accompanying them to various workshops/sessions, for example swimming, arts and crafts, walking activities, dance clubs or just a chat with others over a cuppa in a local cafe.
Our Buddy project has been running throughout the COVID-19 lockdown period to help support isolation and loneliness and has been adapted for this un-presidented time with three tier levels of support..
1. A 20 minute wellbeing call for up to 6 weeks.
2. A befriending call for up to 60 minutes with an activity for up to 4 weeks.
3. Face-to-face support to attend community/group activities once a week.
Our service users below were enjoying knitting, crocheting and dress making with the Institches Community Group at Bradley Green Community Hub (Pre-lockdown) - How fantastic!
